The 3 Unavoidable Laws Of Health

Gravity is a universal law.

You may not agree with it or even believe in it. That doesn't change the fact that it's real and impacts you on every level. Laws are statements which tell us what things will do. There's no room for maybe's, grey areas or wish-wash answers.

There are also Laws of Health.

Three in fact.

You must abide by these laws if you want to be in control of your health and live a long, high-quality life. There's no way around them.

Law 1. You must have a regular and consistent physical training routine.

Physical training is essential. The benefits are highly studied and understood.

It has to be a priority. We are all busy. Barack Obama, Tony Robbins and Richard Branson are just as busy as you. Yet, they find the time to train daily.

It doesn’t necessarily matter what you do (although weight training is HIGHLY recommended). What’s important is that it is regular and consistent. Regular, as in, most days of the week. Consistent, as in, until the end of time.

Note that you don't ‘work out’, you train. The difference is in your focus and intention. When you train you have a purpose to improve yourself and not simply go through the motions.

Law 2. 80% of your food must be nutritious (with respect to calorie intake).

You are what you eat - literally. Food is broken down into molecules which are the building blocks of your cells. Every cell in your body comes from what you consume.

With that knowledge, the best things to consume are natural/unprocessed foods. The types of food your great ancestors would have had access to. Meat, fish, eggs, plants, nuts, seeds. The stuff that can be hunted, fished gathered or plucked.

Only put high-quality fuel in your Ferrari.

Still, enjoy life. 20% of so can come from lower-quality sources. Things you enjoy. As long as you’re not being silly about it and consuming a week’s worth of calories in one meal.

Law 3. You must get adequate high-quality sleep.

Sleep affects every single biological function in your body. Your metabolism, your brain cells, your mood, your energy, your skin, your hunger, your IQ... the list goes on and on.

It’s just as important as exercise when it comes to improving your health, performance and physical condition.

These 3 Laws are the basis good health.

Good health means nothing on its own. The 2nd and 3rd order consequences of good health is where you realise the profound effect.

Structure a life around prioritising the 3 Laws and you'll find yourself with endless energy, abs, better relationships, bigger biceps and more money (to name just a ripple in the ocean of benefits).
