Other processed meats which fit the category include things like pepperoni, prosciutto, bacon, ham, chorizo, hot dogs, devon, sausages and cabanossi.
The most recent estimates by the Global Burden of Disease Project show that about 34,000 cancer deaths per yearworldwide are attributable to diets high in processed meat.
How bloody scary is that!
